Teslemetry's billing is flexible for many different uses. You need a vehicle plan (Access, Pro or Max) for each vehicle and an energy site Access subscription for each energy site, plus Command credits as required. Base Teslemetry subscriptions are no longer required.

Most vehicles only need Access: its streaming allowance is enough for most users. Choose Pro or Max for a vehicle that streams many expensive fields at short intervals, or that runs more commands than Access includes. You choose the plan for each vehicle and can change it in the Teslemetry console.

In the Teslemetry console, fields are labelled free or expensive. Free fields send only when their value changes, so they use almost none of the allowance. Expensive fields send nearly every interval while the vehicle is awake, so they use the most. Every streamed field counts toward your plan's streaming allowance, and the console shows your use as a percent of that allowance. Pro gives 5x and Max gives 20x the Access allowance.

Tesla charges Teslemetry for every streaming telemetry signal sent. This cost is passed on to you as the vehicle subscription which provides unmetered access to this data for each vehicle.

Tesla charges Teslemetry for every command that is executed on your vehicle. You do not need command credits if you only want to access streaming or automatically-polled data - Teslemetry's automatic background polling is always free, and only counts against credits when you ask for a fresh on-demand data fetch. Purchased credits are spent once your monthly quota runs out and never expire. Each command uses 1 credit, a wake up request uses 20 credits, and auto top-up is available.

Paddle is Teslemetry's merchant of record and payment processor. They handle all subscriptions, payments, and tax obligations for Teslemetry.

Legacy vehicles are Model S and Model X vehicles running an up to date firmware that do not support Fleet Telemetry.

A default vehicle_data request is free: it returns a cached response (up to 20 minutes old, or the last known state for an offline vehicle) at no cost. Once that cache is stale, the first on-demand request while your vehicle is online fetches fresh data and costs up to 2 credits, or 0.1 credit if Tesla marks your vehicle as a discounted device. You are charged whenever Tesla answers with any sub-500 status, including a 4xx error. A request that explicitly skips the cache is charged the same way as a stale-cache fetch. A Tesla server error (5xx) or a request that never reaches Tesla, such as one for a sleeping vehicle, is free, and energy site calls are free. Teslemetry's own automatic background polling - including of legacy vehicles, discounted or not - never costs credits; see Polling and Credits in the docs.

You can change or cancel your subscription using the Teslemetry console. You cannot downgrade to a shorter billing cycle.

Your subscription will be setup immediately and you will have full access to all features for 7 days, including 125 included credits per selected product during the trial. At the end of your trial period your selected subscription cycle will start, and active paid subscriptions include 500 credits per month for each Access vehicle and each energy site, 2,500 for each Pro vehicle, and 10,000 for each Max vehicle.

Except for AUD, Teslemetry is priced in USD and converted to your local currency. The price may vary due to currency conversion.
